Jump Cancel Glide Toss in Smash 5

Yesterday as I was trying out Young Link I attempted to jump cancel glide toss his bombs, and I was unable to do so. I then tried with Link as well, and I got the same results. Now, I main Toon Link, and in smash 4, glide tossing the bombs in this way was very vital to his combos, and was very important in his playing style. Can anyone confirm if they removed glide tossing in this way? Or am I just being an idiot, and was somehow doing it wrong?
