Hey guys! It's been quite a while since I've announced a CtC tourney, but here I am! My last few weeks have been swamped with trips, conventions, and even a small family matter, but now the bulk of my summer schedule has passed and I'm ready to get back to TOing!

Also, before I get on to the ruleset, I'd like to make a quick announcement. The Mechakoopa crew is currently looking for new members, so if you'd like to represent the site/organization by playing with the crew, then let me know! You can either send me a message here, send me a tweet @SonnetSmash, or fill out the quick form on our website. Members of the crew will get to take part in things like crew battles, team tournaments, and anything else we may think of in the future

*STAGE UPDATE*
Nintendo released some great stages in this last patch, which we are making legal for this tournament. See the blue text in the stage list to see what we've added.

-RULES-
2 stock, 6 minute
If timed out, the game will be settled by stock advantage. If tied, it will be settled by percent advantage.
Gentleman's rule is in effect (any stage may be chosen if both parties agree)
Dave's Stupid Rule is in effect (cannot counterpick to a stage previously won at)
Customs and equipment will be turned off.
Only Winners/Losers Finals and Grand Finals will be best of 5. The rest of the tournament will be settled through best of 3 sets.

|>Stage Striking and Counterpicking
To determine the first stage played on, players will strike stages (in order of 1-2-1, the lower seeded player is granted the first ban). Whichever stage remains is the one that will be chosen.
When counterpicking, any stage on the list may be chosen, but only after the winner of the last game has banned two stages of his choosing. These bans are separate, and to not carry over from the strikes before game one.

Since Twitch has the new whisper feature, I thought we could try that out for this one and see hoe viable it is.

Yup, check-in starts an hour before, but will last up until the start of the tournament!

Nope, it'll be shuffled once all of the check-ins are processed!

I MAY only stream Top 8 today, since I'm the only commentator and commentating for 3 hours+ can get exhausting. Maybe I'll stream throughout the whole tourney, but only commentate Top 8. We'll see what everyone wants

If it's only 5-10 minutes, you should be okay. If it runs any longer, your opponent will probably grow impatient and request a DQ.
