On Sunday, July 26th, Reaction Games will be hosting Michiana Misfire! Our 2nd semi-large event!

There will be a 10$ buy in for each tournament, and a 5$ venue fee to enter the event.

Please pay in cash, any Credit or Debit charges will incur a 2$ fee, so please come with cash.

This event will consist of 5 tournaments

Super Smash Brothers Melee Singles
Super Smash Brothers Melee Doubles
Project M
Sm4sh Singles
Sm4sh Doubles

Sign Ups for the event begin at 11 A.M.

Each tournament's entry period will end 30 minutes prior to the start of that game's tournament.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

12:00 P.M. Smash 4 Doubles begins
1:00 P.M. Melee Doubles Begins
3:00 P.M Project M singles begins
3:30 P.M. Smash 4 Singles begins
5:00 P.M. Melee Singles begins

General Rules:

-No outside food or drink

-Bring your own controller

If you do not come with a controller, you can rent one for 3$ for the period of the event. You must provide a government issued I.D. in exchange for the controller rental.

Tournament Rules: "Rules are subject to change"

SMASH MELEE RULESET:

General Rules
Game Settings: 4 Stocks, 8 Minute Time Limit
Items are disabled.
Stalling with moves such as Jigglypuff's Rising Pound or Peach's Wall Bomber is banned
Glitches such as Ice Climbers’s Freeze Glitch and Mewtwo’s Soul Stunner are banned.
Pause option is disabled in the game menu. If left on, accidental pausing mid match forfeits a stock.
You may not choose any stage you have won on during a set, unless agreed by both players.
A tie is determined by most stocks, and then if still tied, by percentage. If percentage is tied, the match is fully replayed.
Playing as Master Hand is banned

Match Procedure
Players select their characters. Either player may choose to Blind Pick. In this case, each player secretly tells a third player their character before picking with the third player verifying their selections.
Players play Rock-Paper-Scissors. Winner chooses between selecting controller port or first Stage Strike
Players take turns removing stages from the Neutral Stages list above based upon the results of the previous rule. The first player to strike removes one(1) stage from the list, the second player removes two(2), and the first player then chooses from the remaining two(2) stages.
The players play the first match of the set
Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage from the full list of stages, both Neutral and Counter-Pick. Does not apply to Best of 5 sets.
The Losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next match. Cannot choose the stage banned in the previous step, nor a stage they've already won on during this set, unless agreed.
The winning player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
The losing player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
The losing player of the preceding match may change their controller port.
The next match is played
Repeat Steps 5 through 10 for all subsequent matches until the set is complete.

All chain grabs and infinites are legal
Pause option is disabled in the game menu. If left on, accidental pausing mid match forfeits a stock.
You may not choose the last stage you have won on during a set, unless agreed by both players.
If time runs outs, the tie is determined by most stocks, and then if still tied, by percentage. If percentage is tied, a 1 stock, 3 minute match is played.
Playing as Giga Bowser is banned

2 Stocks, 5 Minute Time Limit

Sets will be either best-of-3 or best-of-5 as time allows, announced prior to each stage

Items set to "Off" and "None"

Team Attack ON

Custom Moves are ILLEGAL

DLC Characters are LEGAL

Suicide moves that kill both players are won by the initiating players

Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks remaining, then lower (total in teams)

percentage. If the match ends with both players dying at the same time or if time runs out with

both players at equal percent, a one-stock, three-minute rematch will be played on the same stage.

1. The first game is played on a Stage selected from the Starter Stage List either by mutual consent
or through the Stage Striking Method. The pattern of stage striking will be P1-P2-P2-P1.

2. A player/team that lost the previous match may opt to re-pick controller ports, going first

3. A player that won the previous match may announce one "Stage Ban,” which remains permanent
for the set. The player that lost the previous match selects a stage from all remaining stages

4. The player(s) that won the previous match chooses his/her character, then the player(s) that lost
the previous match chooses his/her character

5. No Stage may be used twice unless agreed upon mutually
