Jolt Haymaker trick...

As all of you other Little Mac mains out there probably know, the Jolt Haymaker is used to jump projectiles. When people spam on the edge, to decrease the risk of an SD, do a quick jump before performing the move. This will make it move a considerably shorter distance, making it easier to land the move. Try it in training mode!
Now I'm worried this doesn't warrant a thread. It probably doesn't. Oh well.

Yeah, possibly should have posted this in the moveset thread, but none-the-less this is interesting info! I'm gonna test this out a bit myself today :).

I thought it only got invincibility, not super armor; my source is Sakurai's Tip (which does not go into direct frame body state data, unfortunately).
That's what I meant lol sorry for the confusion my point is it's much easier to stop a short hop jolt haymaker than a ground one.

Sadly it has neither either way from what myself and a few others have noticed. It just raises your hurtbox enough to go over some things now. :p It's pretty much not even worth doing to some degree anymore. D:

Are you saying Sakurai is a liar? Perhaps he just went insane from all the work he had to do with Smash 4. Or maybe I misread it as it played on my screen.

It could have just been something that was changed afterwards or he might have mis-worded it lol. Either way myself and a few other Macs have noticed that we've been hit out of it by projectiles and just about anything else with a hitbox.

The Jolt Haymaker only ever had invincibility during the first few frames. I wouldn't say that it makes too much of a difference, particularly considering the Haymaker is more reliable for jumping over projectiles, and not through them(though you can jump through Mega Man and Samus's charged shots with near-perfect timing). The only projectile I have found that I can't jump over is Samus's standard missiles(directed to whoever said the move wasn't worth it).
