Joker revealed as the 1st DLC character for Smash Ultimate

Joker from Persona 5 will be joining the Smash Ultimate roster as the first DLC character.​

Expect to see a new Persona stage and some Persona music soundtracks along with his release.​

I've never heard of this guy before but I heard of persona and this was very unexpected but I have no interest in this guy so yay for those who know and like him anyway one down and four dlc to go

Welp, looks like they're staring Ultimate's DLC downfall sooner than 4's.

Also, here we see more of the problem with third parties: diminishing returns. How many people are actually excited for this guy outside of Persona fans? How many even know who he is? At least Piranha Plant was recognizable.

I think something more important to note is that Reggie straight-up confirmed that all the DLC would be third-party franchises. His exact words were something like "characters that are new to the series, something you wouldn't expect", but you know exactly what he means.

Joker, from Persona 5 isn't recognizable? The main character of a game that was critically acclaimed, sold remarkably well and was even considered one of the best RPG of it's time (Okay that one a bit much, but still)?

I'm pretty excited for a non Persona fan, you never know he might be fun. and really "Downfall" is a tad too strong... it's gonna be fine
