Hey everyone. I'm a long time lurker and first time poster, so I would like to post some thoughts I have on confirmed and unconfirmed characters. Of course all of these are simply opinion, so what little basis I have probably comes from another person's roster prediction. So please share your comments, but let's try and remain respectful.

Now I'm going to skip some of the confirmed characters since most of you probably have headaches from reading their names so many times. I will give some thoughts on a few of the confirmed characters.

Thoughts on the Confirmed:

Pit: An overall great addition, and a fun way to inject life into a character who has not been in the spot for over a decade.

Wario: This one was a no-brainer. I am happy he is patterned after Wario Ware, as that is a very unique series.

Diddy: Another one I should have seen from a mile away. To be honest, I forgot about this fellow. It is nice to see DK characters getting more representation.

Snake: The holy crap character. Some people love it, others hate it. I am of the stance that I feel his a fine addition. His explosion move set looks great, and it is fun to see him interact with characters you never think he would in a million years.

Pokemon Trainer: This one is really really neat. Almost 3 characters in one! However, you know Nintendo, they will think of an interesting way to balance it out.

Ice Climbers: I am SO glad to have them back. My girlfriend and I have been getting into their NES game as of late. I also like to use them in Melee sometimes. It would be funny since people tend to really hate them. So I say HA to all those rumors of them not being in Brawl.

Yoshi: Is my favorite character. I just figured you'd all have to know how totally sweet Yoshi is.

I will post a follow up to this post immediately, with thoughts on the unconfirmed.

Unconfirmed Characters Thoughts: Now I am of the belief that unique characters will be included in Brawl from Melee. So with that being said:

Ganondorf: I feel he has to be in it. No question about it. While I am not an avid Zelda player (the only one in my group of friends) I can appreciate this guys sheer awesomeness, and importance to Super Smash Brothers.

Ness: Again, I'm not an Earthbound guy. (2 of friends are) But this kid is very unique AND serves an importance to Super Smash Brothers. Having been in the last 2 AND a starter in Melee, I cannot imagine why he would not be in this one.

Captain Falcon: Dude! It's Captain Falcon! F-Zeros go to guy! He is in it.

Jigglypuff: Hmmm. I think shes a def. Just because she was in the last 2 AND she has a good move set if you can master it. (one of my friends did) Again, maybe she is not so important to pokemon now that they have 100000 of them. But I think it would be a waste to not have her.

Luigi: Give the skinny dude some love man, AND a unique move set.

Mr. Game and Watch: I feel this guy is just too important to the history of Nintendo to ignore. I feel he will be unlockable once more, if only because of how different he is.

Marth: Now this cat I said was a sure thing a few months ago. Now I am not so sure. I mean he looks sorta like Ike. (that blue hair will do it) That being said, I can not think of any other reason not to have him in. He was in Melee and I hear he is important to his series. Good enough for me, I always thought he rocked.

Mewtwo: While not my favorite character, I knew people who could light it up with this guy. Plus he is pretty cool looking and acting. I would be surprised to not have him in it.

Young Link: Okay well if there are no clones, I do not see a reason for him. Most people say he will be replaced with Windwaker Link. Who knows? My personal feelings are we will not see this cat in Brawl.

Pichu: Many people thought this guy was unneeded. But cmon he was cute! That being said I was never good with him. I always just hurt myself. Being another total clone like young link I think this guy will be in a Pokeball. But hey who really knows?

Roy: Man oh man. I hear his was thrown into Melee to promote his new game. This one I can not predict at all. It really can go either way. I can see him with a new move set, but I could understand if he was omitted. Of course he might be very important to Fire Emblem, I certainly would not know,

Falco: I think this dude has potential to be unique. Anyone play Star Fox lately? I havent since 64. I wonder if he is important still.

Well those are my thoughts, expect another one on totally new characters coming soon here.

He may be replaced with Lucas and become his alt costume. I would like Lucas in over Ness for the chance that the reception of Lucas in SSBB could bring over Mother 3.

I'm sorry but Marth is a shoe in to return, and with the additon of Ike, Roy is as good as gone. He was a clone. Put in the game solely to advertise his game that wasn't well received in Japan. Roy's moveset could of been unique seeing that he has a ranged fire attack with his sword in FE6 however Ike steals Roy's range attack; the only thing that could make him different from Marth and Ike. He's not returning.

Now Micaiah the new Lord from the up and coming FE10 could be quite a nice addition into Brawl. Unlike Roy's advertisement; Micaiah would be used to advertise her game outside of Japan (Which in Japan she was very well recived to begin with). She is a user of light magic and would represent an aspect of Fire Emblem that hasn't been seen before. She would be a very unique character to be included in Brawl; An FE female is Win. ^_^

Yeah I've heard that quite a bit. Maybe they will put both in. It does not exactly matter to me all that much. On a silly note my girlfriend did ask one time "Why is Captain Falcon was beating on a small child?" Funny she knew Captain Falcon and not Ness.

Nice. See? I totally did not know about Roy! His game was not well received? Pfft I guess thats the end of him.

That seems pretty cool. We need more girls kicking butt. Then some people can stop freaking out about Lyn not being in it. (Bwahah I knew a Lyn and she was out of her mind in college)

How the **** is Marth a shoe in?? That's exactly what we need, two lame blue-hair swordsman. Roy may have been a lower-tier than Marth but at least he wasn't a little B****.
