I watched the Falcon matches

Pretty impressive man.

Just watch the amount of D-Airs, I don't know if those weren't supposed to happen but they seemed overused. They get punished pretty easily unless they are FCd.

Nice Peach man

Which dairs do you speak of? Full hop dair?

Full hop dair is my trademark, and it *****. Its more useful vs Fox than Falcon, but its a great baiting tactic because of the lack of lag, allowing me to go right into a FC and attack again.

Well really you can auto-cancel any air move if you get high enough. An autocancel is just a move that ends before you hit the ground, allowing you to land without any landing lag from an attack. If you sh a move like dair, its not gonna autocancel, but the lag is so short on a dair, that when you cut that lag in half with an lcancel, you have practically no lag anyways. If you wanna autocancel it, you've gotta do the full hop dair. I rarely use the sh dair cuz the shield stun on a dair just isn't enough for it to be very practical, and the landing lag is enough that you can't combo into a move.

I did use one spaced sh dair in one of the videos, to bait my opponent into "whiffing" a grab, and than i countered back with a quick spaced dtilt. Pretty cool actually. Its the first video (yoshi's) at :39 secs.

Anyway, the rising dair can be punished if u space it, but i typically use it while retreating and vs characters that can't easily space air attacks (like fox). Its def a situational thing.

i thought float canceling was the same as standard landing lag, which would make it the same speed as your version of "auto-canceling" (which is not technically the real definition of auto-canceling, nor is it even "canceling" anything)
