The info
It is located at Space Station Games. It's off exit 199 off I-5. Take a right on the offramp, take a left onto State, right onto Grove, then a quick left into the little plaza of stuff. It'll be on the right hand side. Park anywhere nearby.
The reasoning:
I want Washington to be the best region in the world at Brawl, and no one else in Western Washington has stepped it up to run another monthly to go alongside Brawl Gameclucks. So now we will have 2 monthly Brawl events, further prepping ourselves for MLG events/Tourneyplay 5/other national events. We will all get a lot better,
and as TKD said: "I guess I'm sorry I'm not good enough to give you great practice yet, but those top pros will lose to us eventually. At least I'll take them out for us someday. Try not to play to defeat people that don't matter, as making your people better will let both of you grow...until you're all great enough as a region." Lets grow together WA. No hiding secrets from each other. We'll play to be the best, and helping each other will help all of us get better faster.
The price:
It will be a $5 venue fee, and $10 per event. So $25 total if you're entering Brawl Singles/Doubles. 100% of the pot is going back to the players.
What I need from YOU ALL:
The one flaw is that right now, we only have 3 TV's that can play Brawl on them without lag. (The other 4 are Viewsonics, AKA what they use at MLG) I don't know how to get them to run Brawl without any lag, and apparently only MLG does since people tried without success before. I NEED you guys to bring setups. I can't discount you for it, sorry. The more setups, the better obviously. As right now if no one brings anymore tv's, we'll only have 3 brawl setups max. So if thats what you want, cool, but I know I don't, and I don't wanna hear people complain, so step it up on the setups PLEASE <3

I need you all to be respectful, too. Keep the swearing to a minimum, there will be kids /other people still playing on the computers. If this goes well, I can turn this into a monthly thing. NO raging and breaking stuff, or you'll be paying for it and I'll be very upset with you. So no ragequits with controllers flying please. That will also make them hesitant to let me run another brawl tournament.
I also need someone to bring a LAPTOP with Tio on it! I've personally never used tio before, so I would need some help with this. I figure people who help me do seeding should be able to help me with this. Otherwise I have no idea how to set it up. I could appreciate if someone could help me out too when I'm playing in matches. I already figure I won't get to warm up since I'll be calling out matches and such, but when I'm playing I'd like a backup icon_smile
RULES:
We're using the MLG ruleset. This includes continuation sets! if you played someone earlier in the tournament, and you run into them again later, it isn't just a new set. It now becomes a best of 7, leading off where the set ended last time. first to 4 wins. If this occurs in Grand Finals, it becomes best of 11, first to 6 wins.
START TIME:
We are aiming to start around 12 - 1 PM. If you are late, text me. Don't call me lol. I can't wait forever for all of you guys, and I'd hate to leave people out. But I gotta do what I gotta do, as I'm not just a player at this, but a TO.
Food:
There is a TON of nearby food, as its connected with a plaza of stores. There is Burger King, Jack in the Box, Dairy Queen, Safeway (if thats what you dig), Teriyaki literally 2 doors next to the LAN center. KFC, Little Caesars a bit up the road, Garlic Jims, and a couple others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
I CAN'T HOUSE ANYONE!! You'll need to plan your own ride home/with someone else, sorry.
