So...I main Falco, and I have Fox as secondary just in case. I'm having some problems with JC smashing. Are there any secrets or tips that anyone knows of?

Edit: If I get good enough with Fox, I might main him.

The biggest secret that nobody ever seem to know about is practice.

you can try using the c-stick...thats about it, other than that just practice.

Do most people not use the yellow c-stick for this?

Up+A or Up+up on the 'yellow' cstick work exactly the same. Cstick is better for consistency imo, but if you can perfectly time the up+A everytime, then go for it. Cstick offers 100% uncharged usmashes without fail. It just seems like a smarter choice for me.

for many people it's easier to use A, but for fox you'll only have a window of 2 frames press then release A to have an uncharged usmash. so C stick for speed.

cstick actually can be quite troublesome. If you mistime it you'll just jump...

I called it yellow because I get confused between the two sticks. I guess I'll just try out both.

cstick doesn't mean control stick. Theres a big C on the 'yellow' stick.

Couldn't you just dash cancel? But Usmash out of shield is done w/ C-stick.

dash cancel takes up to 6 frames more to do. pretty **** slow considering it takes a the smash part only 7 frames to come out...

i never tried the up up c stick but i will try it. i have always used up up A and it has work fine for me.

I always charged it a bit. sometimes id do it and they'd powershield @ the last second because i charged it a tiny bit. it pissed me off...so i started using the c-stick.
