jump canceled grab? you can cancel the initial dash animation of the grab, which is sort of slow and can live you vulnerable, with a jump and then grab, this way you get a faster dashing grab.

This technique is a must for characters that need to grab a lot like marth or falcon, not so much with falco but is still useful because you have less lag after the grab.

A jump cancelled grab is a jump that is cancelled by a grab. It is performed by inputting a jump, then, while your character is still in his squat animation, inputting a grab. This makes your character do a normal standing grab. It is mostly used while running, so that you can perform a normal standing grab out of a dash.

My bad, my knowledge is a bit rusty, this is true ^

But the idea still remains the same, is a faster grab.

So like input a jump while dashing but grab before he actually jumps?

Yeah. Motion is usually just Y (or whatever you use to jump) then pressing Z quickly afterwards, kind of like a plink if you play Street Fighter. It should look like a normal standing grab except you're doing it out of a dash, so you kind of slide because of the momentum.

Basically what you said, but the technique is also used for other stuff. Any move that can be jumped out of can be jump cancelled into a grab. For Falco, you have dash, shield, and shine. Shield into JC-grab is basically useless, unless you want to delay your grab by a few frames, but shine into grab is useful if you hit their shield when doing running shines.
