Hey guys, I"m new to this whole drawing thing and I need inspiration. Just tell me what to draw, but keep it simple.


I just got into this today and here are my first drawings, I don't like what the scan did to them (you'll be able to tell [chunkier/blockier]).

They're not great, but I'm new and I need practice.

Hmmm....

Try drawing whatever is on your desk. Whenever I'm looking for a simple/quick sketch it's always something right in front of me. In fact, for some reason the cup of pens next to me looks like it will be a decent model. Do you have a cup o' pens and pencils?

ok, so I drew my cell. lighting was a bit wack cause I kept moving it, (so I made up the lighting, lol). all other comments are on teh paper . Uploads in a sec.

keeping the phone in proportion was challenging but I think I did ok. critique this like a *****! I need advice/critique

Draw people. Not from photos, but from life. And then from your head.

take a picture of a model and use a grid, it makes everything soooo much easier , btw the detail on your eye picture is pretty good, the eye lashs seem un natural though.
