hm, as far as I know, Link is better because of his uptilt, Ness is better because of higher damage and other stuff, and a lot more differences that I don't remember well. But overall, the tier list is very similar to the american one, i think.

I think link might be a little higher in the japanese tier list, but then again, who the hell cares about the tier list for this game anyway just pick your favorite character and have fun basically, they're all good in their own right in ssb64, at least link vs pika isn't as bad as pichu vs marth
