I am trying to play smash brother's with people from japan because i'm stationed in south korea. It seems the online servers there are packed with people but when i downloaded the smash brothers game in japanese it says it isn't the same game.. so i can't join... any ideas what's going on or what i can do to fix this issue? the game is called *removed link*.

I removed the link because it is illegal.

Try the following:

1) Make sure the name of your rom is "Nintendo All-Star! Dairantou Smash Brothers (J) [!].z64". If you have trouble finding the ROM we could help you through skype, but not here, as it is against the rule (again illegal).

2) Find the "Project64.rdb" file in your PJ64 folder. You can make a backup of the file to be sure lol.

3) Find the correct line in the file (ctrl+f "dairantou")

4) Replace the paragraph with:
Code:
[67D20729-F696774C-C:4A]
Good Name=All Star! Dairantou Smash Brothers (J) [!]
Internal Name=SMASH BROTHERS
RDRAM Size=4
Counter Factor=Default //2
Save Type=First Save Type
CPU Type=Recompiler
Self-modifying code Method=Change Memory
Use TLB=Yes
Linking=Global
Reg Cache=Yes
Use Large Buffer=No
Status=Compatible
Plugin Note=(graphics slow when many effects)
Tell us if that works.
