IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

This tournament has changed so much ever since it was first released. Intended to be a pilot event for Project M and gaming tournaments in general for 40 people, we now have 133 people pre-registered for the event. My sponsors are amazed by how passionate the Project M community of CA is. Because of that, we now have access to part of the S-tier venue, which is usually reserved for huge national events, that can hold about 500 people. We originally wanted to book the B-tier venue, but we hit the 90 people pre-reg requirement too late. Now that we're using the S-tier venue, the venue fee will increase. After talking to my sponsor about this sudden move to S-tier, we finally came to a conclusion that increasing the venue fee to $10 last minute isn't fair. We decided to meet in the middle and the VENUE FEE WILL NOW BE $7. I want to let you know that this S-tier space we have is meant to be for a summer Esports event that will most likely be charging a $20 venue fee (with many more games in the line-up, not just Smash Bros). My reason for them to not charge us a ridiculous amount is because 1) This is only a one day event; 2) There's only 1 game being played; 3) Most of the equipment will be coming from the PM community. Please understand that I did my best to prevent them from charging more than $7 venue fee per person. I hope that no one here is feels like I'm robbing them.

Now for the benefits of having the S-tier venue:

1) Snack food and drinks will be provided FREE by NestGSV
2) Full use of the Lounge Room
3) Full use of the pool table and ping pong table
4) A Project M Side Event is being added
5) 2 Stream Channels for Project M and the CoG Free Side Event
6) $100 Bonus Pot added to Singles Prize Pool provided by CoG
7) Commentary/Recording for all Events
8) Main Event Space for Finals matches separate from main floor
9) 2 Giant Monitors to watch the Final Matches on the main floor
10) Crowd Camera and interviews will be recorded
11) Footage from #10 will be used for a PM CA Documentary
12) Full use of Kitchen (Microwave)
13) Final Bracket is increased from 24 to 48

Don't forget all the other benefits this venue has for us from before:

12) Free parking (so many spaces!)
13) Player Profiles recorded in CoG Database
14) No bathroom schedule (go whenever you want)
16) Located almost right off the freeway
17) Eon Ticket for Pokemon OR/AS will be given out via streetpass
18) Free Experimental Side Event for players not in Bracket by CoG
19) Full set-up count is 40
20) http://www.twitch.tv/chosen_l is the stream channel
21) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKOG7JzD53DJMhQgApd5dLg is the youtube channel where the videos will be uploaded at a later date.

Now for some rules regarding the venue:

1) Please do NOT talk to commentators while they're commentating! Every time I'm commentating someone comes up to me asking about the bracket, even during a match. There are TOs you can talk to who aren't speaking to an audience! Talk to them!
2) Do NOT just jump on the mic if it becomes available. I think a lot of people deserve a shot at commentating but if you're not asked to jump on, don't do it. Commentary is very important so let the commentators work!
3) DO your best to help out. If something really hype happened off stream, go report it the the commentators between matches. Upsets and bracket progression are both pieces of info that we WANT to know, just not during a match.
4) No spectators unless they pre-registered. PM me who they are. They still have to pay the $5 venue fee.
5) No eating/drinking on the main floor
6) Clean up after yourselves
7) Bring your own controller
8) CoG and NestGSV (and myself) aren't responsible for any items you have lost or any damage that has been done to them
9) At the beginning of Doubles towards the end of Single Pools, there will be no friendlies at ANY tournament stations.
10) Take a shower before the event. If you have really bad BO, you will not be allowed in the venue. -ChosenL's rule
11) Don't use words related to ****, racism, or anything else that proves you're the lowest of all life forms. You will be thrown out of the venue by security.
12) Respect the staff of CoG and NestGSV by following all these rules.
13) Please help assist with cleaning up at the end of the event
14) When ChosenL ask you to put your hands up and give him your energy for a spirit bomb, you better do it
15) Please keep all hype beyond it's highest level
