tittle says it all, if you could implement some mechanics (or remove) from sm4sh, which would they be?

1) all throws should do 5-7 damage, no more or less
2) spotdodges (shield + down) should give more ending lag if done in sucession
3) when done in sucession, rolls should start becoming slower and having more ending lag
4) footstool should be removed, or should not be able to be executed while an attack is being executed (example: drop offstage, use second jump to reach opponent and dair, which results a lot in dropping off the stage, jumping, footstooljump and a dair directed to nobody since youre already all the way up)
5) shields should be weaker, but some moves should get some shield burst power reduced (bowser's downb and jigglypuffs sideb for example)
6) all characters should be grabbable and jababble at any height while on the ground (crouching pikachu or kirby... sometimes theyre imune even standing up)... maybe just increase the minimum hitbox per character (small characters obviously)
7) all attack's hitboxes must match the visuals (cough mk cough)
8) the return of smooth landing (AKA L cancelling), this was first thought of as an advanced technique and was even featured on the online super smash bros site game guide on the n64 days, although back on the day it used to be done with the c buttons

so, share any mechanics you wish were different

I enjoyed the autocancelling aerials from Brawl+. That would help a lot of characters with laggy aerials. I always thought that L-cancelling was an unnecessary extra button input.

I would make rolls more punishable by reducing the invincibility frames and bring back higher shieldstun so over-defensiveness is a less viable tactic.

I'd either very slightly increase hitstun, make it so you can't airdodge out of tumbling like it was in Melee, or both.

And this would probably be extremely controversial, but I'd like a system that incorporates Final Smashes within the very basic gameplay, no items needed. I just love Final Smashes, but I don't like Smash Balls very much. ****, make it an alternate game mode, I don't care, I just want to be able to use Final Smashes without depending on items.

Otherwise, I'm perfectly okay with the current mechanics.

That one about the short characters really hits home. Like for example, if Pikachu does a fair and lands, I've noticed a lot of people can't grab him until after Pikachu's back into neutral position. That being said, I think it's kind of unique and don't mind it in the game. It can be solved by adapting, i.e. using dtilt instead of jab/grab. It's just a peeve.

Ledge game, and thats it. I like footstooling since one of Kirby's best offstage options is D-air to footstool.

I have to agree here, I think footstooling was one of the better options that Brawl brought to the table. Think it should stay indefinitely.
