Event - E3 Invitational 2014 It's really not fair that some of us can't try out the demo.

Seriously, 4 locations in all of New York, and places that are not even that close to here?

Meanwhile, I see posts by people who just had the stars in the right place for them, and their Best Buy locations are either local or super close.

Screw Nintendo or Best Buy. Like, seriously.

Oh well. Guess I'll just have to watch footage of it :/

Well how do you think anyone who doesn't live in the US or Canada feels? They don't have a snowball's chance in Hell of being able to play it bar a plane trip, and last time they had to wait a good 7 or 8 months after Brawl was released in America to play it.

Trust me. It could be a lot worse...

There's not ANY in my state. I wonder why they chose so few locations.
Exactly. It makes literally no sense.

Ouch...that really sucks.

Friendly reminder to all americans and canadians that they at least have a realistic opportunity to play the game.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was getting at with my reply. I've lived outside the US for most of my life, and you can really get boned in the way of exclusive access sometimes.

But seriously it does seem odd that there's so few locations per state. There's only 1 here in Arizona.

Welcome to the European life my friend, aside from more options for the free game of choice after purchasing MK8 we're always left in the dust. Release dates, exclusives, bundles, you guys have it good.

So I'm entitled for wanting to have a video game demo in my state?

Wow, that's kinda jerkish/rude. But it IS the internet.

This, it could be a lot worse. Although they have been improving with the release dates for Europe lately.

I'd personally be happy if I don't have to wait month's after the Japanese and American release for either versions again....

You know OP, you shouldn't be mad, It's not like Nintendo had to do these Best Buy events. There was a time where the only way you could play the E3 demos was to go to E3.

You should thank Nintendo for doing this even if you can't get to any of the locations.

Well my Best Buy is near me, but do I REALLY try out a demo for a game I already know I'm going to enjoy? Not really, also I'm not driving to a store just to try a demo when I can make one trip later and get the WHOLE game, Demo Units are really pointless as they just take away from the impact of bringing the game home after 3 years of delays God DAMN you Skyward Sword lol

Yes, this does reek of an inflated sense of self-entitlement. However, it's kind-of annoying that out of the 4 locations in NY, 3 are in and around LI. The last one is a few miles north of Albany. It's really not too much to ask that if most of the country is getting decent locations, that NY gets one somewhere in CNY, WNY or upstate. Seriously, we don't all live in the city.

For those of you who don't know the geography of New York, which I don't blame you for: the vast majority of a fairly populated state, does not have one of these demos within a reasonable distance to justify driving to one, but one small area has 3, and the last location is not only not centralized, but closer to the other three than the rest of the state. It's a bit stupid.

Well just think about this, NA is lucky they are getting it. EU isn't. I'm sure there is some store around for you to go to, or if you would have to go out of your state a little bit.

At least New York gets stuff in cities. The Maryland locations are ridiculous. Nothing close to the nation's capital, and nothing in any major Maryland Cities. Not even Baltimore.

This thread made me feel bad because I live in California, and there are several locations to choose from, and I can watch the Nokia Theatre tournament in person.

Anyways, you can watch it on the internet, at the very least. Not everyone can do that.

I have the opportunity to visit the gamescom.
But it's probably not worth it, if Smash Bros comes out in summer anyway.
