Yes, you heard me.
I think having both the Ultra Hand and the Ultra Machine as items would be a unique way to show a bit of Nintendo's history.
It would also be a good way to show off the works of the great Gunpei Yokoi, whose creations have changed Nintendo - and gaming - forever.
Here's how they could work:
Ultra Hand: This item can be carried and controlled like the cracker launcher item from Brawl. This means it restricts your movement by making you slower and shortens your jumps. It is also aimed in the same way that the cracker launcher is. With the press of a button, the claw will extend quite far, grabbing any items or opponents. Any item grabbed will be transferred into the players hands. Any opponent grabbed will be brought into the grasp of the player, allowing them to use their pummels and throws from there.
Ultra Machine: This item shoots small white balls in an arc. The player holding it simply has to press the B button to launch a ball. There are ten shots before the item is rendered useless.
So, what do you think? Would you like to see these two toys as items? What other physical Nintendo products could be turned into items? Discuss.
