Yes, you heard me.
I think having both the Ultra Hand and the Ultra Machine as items would be a unique way to show a bit of Nintendo's history.
It would also be a good way to show off the works of the great Gunpei Yokoi, whose creations have changed Nintendo - and gaming - forever.

Here's how they could work:
Ultra Hand: This item can be carried and controlled like the cracker launcher item from Brawl. This means it restricts your movement by making you slower and shortens your jumps. It is also aimed in the same way that the cracker launcher is. With the press of a button, the claw will extend quite far, grabbing any items or opponents. Any item grabbed will be transferred into the players hands. Any opponent grabbed will be brought into the grasp of the player, allowing them to use their pummels and throws from there.

Ultra Machine: This item shoots small white balls in an arc. The player holding it simply has to press the B button to launch a ball. There are ten shots before the item is rendered useless.

So, what do you think? Would you like to see these two toys as items? What other physical Nintendo products could be turned into items? Discuss.

In regards to the Ultra Hand, I have a question. What happens to it after it grabs an item or an opponent? Does it just vanish, and if so, does it reappear after throwing the caught Item or opponent?

As for the Ultra Machine, I like the idea. Hmm... I actually get the feeling that if they added such an Item and it worked as you just described it, it end up very similar to Megaman's Neutral-Normal where he shoots small balls of energy forwards.

Hmm... Well, I would like to see one of the various Wii attachments make it as Items in the games. Actually, it would be kind of cool to use the Wiimote and Nunchuck as an actual Nunchuck set and hit opponents with it by swinging it around like mad-men. XD

Good question. I think that the best option would be for the ultra hand to be dropped near the player. That way, they can pick it up again afterward.

I hear what you are saying about the Ultra Machine too, but since the projectiles have an arc, they would not end up being too similar to Megaman's mega buster move. Plus, the balls would also likely travel farther than Megaman's buster shots.

Your wiimote + nunchuk idea is hilarious, I like it!
