You can easy change items from popo to nana.
Just hit Z while falling down.
I think you can do it while jumping, too.

Alot of characters can do this. I believe it's called Z-dropping, but idk.

It's more noticeable and easier for the ICs though... and yes other characters can do this too, just drop an item and fastfall and use an aerial, airdodge, or just press Z to catch it.

Oh and he meant item switch from Popo to Nana.

I know, Z-Dropping is allready known, but item changing is the special thing here.
I mostly do it while falling. Didnt get it while I jumped up.
But maybe I just didnt try enough.
I made it only a few times in some item matches today.

Maybe it has got a competive use against characters, which use items or in teams.

I never play with items, never really played with them and ice climbers.
