It did say to move the entirety of the folder to the SD, right?

I tried to put the launcher for the Hackless version of Project M on my SD Card so I could update to 3.01. The instructions specifically said to move the entirety of the folder to the SD card. So that's EXACTLY WHAT I DID. I boot up Project M......

No special screens.

No prompts to update to ANYTHING.

And to top it off, when I try to start the game it won't start.

I wish they had given SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS for this stuff. Can someone help me, you know, install this? Please?

Okay, so I managed to get the new launcher working, but the problem is that it can't tell what version it is. Also, it said that version 3.02 is available, but I can't download it because it can't detect an XML file. Which I never saw. Should I force update to 3.00 so my Project M game can update again?

Someone answer me.......for ONCE.........:urg:

Download the hackless Wii ZIP. Not the launcher, the actual big ZIP. Extract it to your SD card. Play it. It includes the launcher.

The launcher update is weird and broken and nobody can seem to make it work, but the ZIP files on the site are 3.02, so you can just use those.

I had the hackless version already. That's why I got the launcher. And if I redownload the .zip file, then won't I lose all my data?

What data are you referring to? Savegame things should all be handled by, you know, your Wii's default savegame management. If you want an answer FOR ONCE, then follow these SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Delete anything related to Project M from your SD card
2) Download the Hackless Wii Zip of your choice
3) Open the zip. See those shiny folders in there? Put those on your SD card.
4) Boot brawl, open the stage builder, yada-yada
5) Start smashing!

That way you'll have the most recent version set up and ready to go, plus you'll have the launcher all set up for future updates as well.

Thanks. I actually did that before I read this post. :awesome: As for save data, I thought that it ran through the mod; so I figured if I got rid of the mod data, I would delete my save data as well. I didn't want to take that chance is all.
