This was talked about in a previous topic, but I want to bring up again with our recent news.

As far as I know, Swimming doesn't come back in the 3DS version. However, if we look at some footage of a demo from last month, we can see that "Swim time" is a stat at the end. The video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccAV3hJTRyY&feature=youtu.be

Why would they have Swim Time as a stat if neither the 3DS or Wii U versions have swimming stages? There are 4 possible solutions: Isle Delfino, Pirate Ship, Summit, or a new stage.

Isle Delfino seems like a good retro stage and would work great as both stage representation of Bowser Jr alongside the NSMBU stage, and it would work great for All Stars "2000-2006" fight aka the Gamecube era.

Toon Link is probably getting a stage, and Spirit Tracks was taken. So unless another Wind Waker HD stage comes along, Pirate Ship has a prime shot.

Or maybe there will be a new swimming stage, but I really don't see why these two wouldn't be in. Summit is the last swimming stage from Brawl, but with Ice Climbers cut I don't see it coming back.

Any thoughts on this?
