This game is gorgeous, completely different art style than Resident Evil: Revelations, which I think is the previous title holder, but even more gorgeous and 60 FPS to boot, instead of probably 20-30. You know what they say about late gen games!

vs.

Same mammoth roster as the Wii U version. Music choices and probably levels have been cut down, but that's to be expected.

Also, it's a 2.1 GB game, seemingly at retail on a 4 GB game card, easily one of the four biggest 3DS games! Japan has a lot more price tiers than the west and the game is bigger than normal, so its MSRP in Japan is about 200 to 400 yen higher than the usual price according to this ad:

I can't imagine that being successful in the west but Japanese game prices (which always include tax) vary really wildly/some places sell below MSRP. Also the 3DS is just bigger in Japan, but yeah, puts the 3 week wait in perspective.

This game is a monster!

Extremely hyped for both, Wii U moreso though.

When I was checking out the Meta Knight pictures and saw this one:

I had immediately thought about just how good this game looks. Look at Kirby! He's amazing!

This game is a blast, we all hoping to get it.

Yes, it looks good. This game could most likely show what can the 3DS do with graphics. It already runs on a stable frame rate, so that's a plus. It's going to look much better when it's on the 3DS itself, though.

This game looks amazing on my computer screen, I'm sure it'll be phenomenal on the 3ds. Maybe the best 3ds game.

I dunno, there's quite a few games that are visually very impressive, all different and great in their own special way.

Which one's the best one?

That's subjective as ****. Many games look amazing in their own ways, there's simply no right answer.

But Smash is certainly up there with the best.

Technically speaking these are objectively not as graphically amazing, especially Shovel Knight. Also that's probably the best-looking pic of Sonic Generations 3DS in existence :p

I think Fire Emblem awakenings was the best.
But it all really based on personal preference.

Er... no. Resident Evil is easily the best. I think it runs at 60fps without 3D.
The character models in Smash are really good, but the background characters not so much.

Er no... Turning off 3D only turns on anti-aliasing, the game is still the usual 25-30 FPS. I think technically RE: Revelations may still be the best though, but 60 FPS is way more taxing than 30, which won't show up in screenshots.

I agree that Revelations is still king though, pretty unique for a console or handheld, being such an early game.

I say this game will probably look the best with the most going on(in terms of frame rate).

Fire Emblem's special cutscenes were my personal favorite, but the entire game wasn't as visually impressive as Kid Icarus was. I spent my entire time with Kid Icarus with my mouth agape at how beautiful it looked (and my jaw hurt).

This game could one-up it. It looks at least on par with Brawl's graphics and it's a handheld version. I'm excited to play it on my XL.

I won't say there the best looking but they look pretty sweet for a Smash game on 3DS.

I prefer gameplay over looks.
Why does this have to come up whenever somebody wants to talk about graphics and aesthetics and junk?

Everybody knows what's the most important thing in a game, that doesn't mean people shouldn't be able to talk about every aspect of them.

Merely saying it doesn't have to be the best looking game. And I wouldn't say it is either.
