So I'm practicing for facing against some friends so I figured to warm my hands up with fox and falco. Everytime I hold:GCU: and:GCCD: as I'm rising onto a platform it instantly wavelands for me, allowing me to react faster. So far this has happened when i go on smashville and Yoshi's Story I haven't tested it fully though. If this has already been discovered please tell me and show me the link to the source. So far its happened with :mewtwopm:, :falcon:, :marth:, :fox:, and :falco:.

EDIT: I did a bit more testing and it works with:mario2: :luigi2::sheik::yoshi2::bowser2::diddy::popo:(popo only) :zelda::jigglypuff:(you have to double jump) :link2::ganondorf::ivysaur::charizard::zerosuitsamus::metaknight:as well. Also it only seems to work if your running towards it

Are you holding both :GCU: and :GCCD: or do you mean holding :GCU: and tapping :GCCD: ?

If it's the latter, i'd be inclined to believe your collision box is expanding down slightly at the beginning of your dair causing an auto-cancel

In the inputs you listed, you didn't include a shield/wavedash input. If you don't press shield or airdodge into the platform, it's not a waveland. I remember knowing that Falco can use his dair to platform cancel in PM just like in Brawl, and your inputs look like that's what's happening as best as I can figure it out. A platform cancel looks just like a waveland, but quicker, like you described. The other possibility listed above is that you're landing during autocancel frames. Just realized the .gif on the wiki page isn't really super helpful in illustrating a raw platform cancel, maybe this will be a bit better.

thank you for the vid turns out you were right I was curious to see if this was some way of allowing people to get more off of less inputs. As you can tell I've never played brawl before
