I have not tried doing this yet. Please only answer if you know, so it becomes easier for everyone to understand.

Pretend that you want to play 2 versus 2 Online (Team Battle) WITH an Online Friend on your Friends List.
This means that you will be on the Same Team as your Online Friend, while fighting other Random Teams Online.

Was that clear enough? :??:
Have any of you tried doing this yet? :??:

EDIT: Remember everyone, I'm only talking about the WII U VERSION.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work, it only works for people playing locally.

Its Nintendo...so a simple online feature that has been around for the past 10 years is not possible sorry.

Honestly, while the game lacks many interesting online features, it works extremely well. After playing Mortal Kombat X, I am even more convinced of that.
