I was just playing a match against a level 3 Mario on Dreamland (I was Falco). I had just run off-stage in an attempt to do some sort of silly walljump suicide dair, and I was now up-b ing back to the stage, as the Mario had up-b'd to the right Dreamland platform. As I was coming back to the stage, the Mario dropped through the platform and did what appeared to be a perfect waveland backwards to the ledge, effectively grabbing ledge from me and killing me.

Can anyone explain how that is possible?

This is not a troll at all, this legitimately just happened to me like five minutes ago.

A swedish island.
Strange. But i guess it makes sense though. It's just an airdodge into the ground after all. It's not like he performed a wavedash or anything.

Computers are programmed to do certain things in certain situations. I'm guessing in air it felt you would hit him and he both air dodged with silly luck Di to grab it.

I had a Roy do a perfect wavedash towards me on Pokemon Stadium. Certain conditions make them air dodge, and I guess the momentum/terrain can make it happen.

I knew someone would say something to this effect, but that didn't make it any less funny when you actually did
so, in conclusion, LOL

It makes more sense to me now than it did right after it happened. When it happened I was like WHAT THE F**KING F**K JUST HAPPENED HOLY HELL

Yeah, I knew that this was the case, it was more a shock post (and a chance to tell a funny story that a level 3 mario edgehogged me for a KO)
Well clearly it's possible if you saw it happen
*facepalm*

That's pretty cool, like an actual wavedash, not a waveland? That's trippy.
I'm not surprised. I saw a video where a Cpus moonwalked.
And here it is.

That is such a great video, and that's exactly how I felt when it happened to me. Wish I had my dazzle going.
