I was playing some practice matches against the CPU on Omega Jungle Japes, and I paused the game. If you look in the window that Cranky Kong is in, did you notice that the scientific beakers and test tubes are, from left to right, red, yellow, and blue?

Is this an intentional reference to the Smash trailer, or is it just a coincidence?

By the way, this is my first thread. If I'm breaking any rules by posting this here, I'd be happy to take this down. Thanks!

I checked out the stage in Melee and the beakers are the same colors in the same order, so it probably wasn't intentional. It's still a neat coincidence, though.

I obviously did know about Cranky Kong but I didn't know the tubes were there too.

To me, I bet it is a small little reference to DK64 since cranky uses scientific stuff to upgrade power and new attacks/techniques to all 5 kongs.

Huh. I never noticed them in Melee. Of course, the screen was waaaay further from my face then.

You know, that never occurred to me. Then again, I've only played a little of DK64.
