Smash 3DS Is there input delay when playing local multiplayer with a friend?

I swear it feels like im getting stuffed due to input delay when played with a friend locally, am I crazy or is anyone else experiencing this? and is it because its wireless? Because it doesnt feel fast like playing by yourself.

I haven't noticed any input delay myself but there have been moments with random lag spikes. Might outside interference be a cause?

I swear when trying to twitch react I just get stuffed instead, maybe Im just crazy.
