Smash Wii U Is there any way to stop fast-falling with the C-Stick?

The question is in the title, pretty much. Very often when I use DAirs with the C-Stick, I fast-fall. This doesn't lead to many SDs whatsoever, but I'm afraid of that happening as a whole.
