Is there a way to transfer custom moves between systems?

I've unlocked most of the custom moves on my Nintendo 3DS but my Wii U copy of the game lacks many of them. I remember my friend said something about being able transpire or sync customs but I don't if this is true let alone how I could accomplish it. I know it's possible to copy custom characters from my 3DS to my Wii U but I wont be able to use a custom move that's only on my Wii U and another that's only on my 3DS. Please let me know if this is possible and how I could accomplish it. This would be extremely helpful if I plan on hosting a tournament with customs allowed.

Yeah you can only really transfer your custom characters over. But not actually unlocking their custom moves or equipment. You can either just customize and edit your characters in one version and then transfer them over or do the Classic or Target Blast exploits. (You will need a Turbo controller if you want to do the latter though)

Some of the equipment that you unlock in Smash 3DS can be pretty helpful for Smash Wii U's harder challenges. But like the other users said, you have to unlock the custom specials, outfits, and headgear manually, as transferring customizations from Smash 3DS will NOT unlock them in Smash Wii U.

You can transfer custom characters from a 3DS to a Wii U, but it won't unlock any of that character's custom moves on the Wii U version.

Thank you for letting me know. :b:

That's the fanciest way I have ever seen someone write 'transfer'...
Opps! ha ha! I feel stupid now.
