Pokkén Tournament Is there a way to compete without stats and leveling up?

Like in a typical fighter where you have a base set of stats and such. Does that exist? or are custom stats mandatory?

Found out you can't turn them off online but you can turn them off offline.

Hope they fix this. This thread can be locked.

Offline tournaments (ones that use LAN battles, anyway) can select the option to turn them off.

Though they aren't turned off by default online, the effect is quite miniscule with each point equating to about 0.1% in each catergory (the most any of the single stats do when capped at 100 is 10%). The stats are in turn applied/stacked on top of the opponents stat boosts, meaning an extra 10% in Attack will cancel out an extra 10% in defense. The littlest things can make a difference, though, so I see the frustration that could be caused by it/why it would be better for tournaments to go without the feature.
