Hey all, I'm just wondering if I actually need to spend time rolling dice over and over (RNG) to unlock custom moves without using the 3DS.

Has anyone figured out a quick way yet? I really just wish I could pay an extra $10 instead of spending 300 hours dealing with RNG programming.

Crazy Orders should be a good way. Just create a custom fighter with both the homerun- & the "quick swing"-badge... and something about auto-healing, I guess. Then prefer matches against metal opponents or team smashes...

Not the "quickest" but the easiest way which is also pretty fast is by pseudo-idling smash tour with the gamepad while you watch stuff on another input. You also get lots of equipment and crazy orders passing to help enable the fastest way as mentioned above.

crazy orders with mario and the fast fireball custom, as well as homerun bat, first strike invincibility, and quick batter equipment is a good way to do it. just toss a fireball at the cpu, and use your 10 seconds or so of invincibility to launch em with the bat. fox could work well too, his default blaster is quick. i've gotten to like turn 37 this way, but people have gone even farther than that

if you don't have the equipment setup for crazy orders I feel like trophy rush is probably the fastest way, especially for getting the ones you want for specific characters . thistle jump, all around trade off, and auto healer help here alot too

I got all of the custom moves in 4-5 days doing crazy orders. Just make a good set with a homerun bat, quick swing, and some defense stuff. I try my best to at least get anything from +30 def to +70 without anything lowing my speed to a -20. Try to go for risky respawner badges as you only have 1 life anyways. To speed up the process I decided to use all of the characters and swapped for a new one once I unlocked all of their customs, I played about 35 characters and the other 13 just unlocked from playing the orders. This method got me to round 54 with shiek and average in the 25-35 rounds with everyone else.

There's other methods that involving using a bat, quick swing and first strike that also works. Try to avoid having low defense as a giant battle will definitely wreck you at even 0%. Go for metal battles and I believe the AI doesn't improve after round 25. In the final battle go ahead and take out the cpus first and destroy the hands last, throwing the bat around helps a lot too.

i put my amiibo against each other for awhile, after some matches i connect them to the amiibo section under
games & more and they should give you a bunch of goodies ! hope that helps for a quick and effortless way to get custom moves

Crazy Orders would be a good start if your custom special collection is new. However, as you're getting closer to getting all 376 custom specials, Crazy Orders becomes much less reliable for getting new custom specials.
