Is the Wii remote going to screw things up?

I don't have a Wii, and have never touched the Wii remote. With all these instructions on which buttons to press, is all my practice going to go straight down the toilet once I use the Wii remote? Or will I just have to keep using Gamecube controllers on my Wii?

Maybe it doesn't really matter, since my GC controllers will still work regardless.

Sakurai said the game is being designed with the GC controller primarily in mind, and all the menu screen shots have snowed nothing but GC buttons. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Yeah there is nothing to worry about i have a Wii and i KNOW that i will not be playing with the Wii Remote.Especially with it turned sideways(super Mario bros.)(not to easy to play with the remote turned sideways)I might try the Wii remote and Nunchuk it feels good to hold them together, especially the Nunchuk.

According to what is known the only use for the Wii-mote is just another controller.
