I loved 64, however... before i get it on virtual console, i want to make sure that the game is still fun to play and what some other people think about it, even though they have brawl... so, anyone ^.^? I miss the fighting polygons the most >.>

In some ways my friends and I prefer playing SSB64VC over Brawl because the attacks seem stronger. It’s also cool being able to knock people off the stage with grabs.

Even though I own both the US and Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. for the N64 I still downloaded the Virtual Console version so it’d be easier for my friends and I to play and I have no regrets.

Oh and I’m sure for me its not nostalgia as I didn’t get in to Smash Bros. until late 2008 when I got Brawl dirt cheap from Radio Shack who was trying to clear out inventory.

Virtual Console will be fun for a while, but cpu's get boring pretty quickly

Get into the online smash scene :D

Most people here don't play for the nostalgia, they play because the original SSB is an incredible game, and in many ways superior to Melee or Brawl.

If you'd only be playing by yourself, then you should get into the online scene. If you have friends to play with, then go ahead and get the virtual console one.

The game is not worth buying unless you're either gonna play with friends or use it as offline "console practice" (gamecube and classic controller is baaad)

If that doesn't apply to you, then don't bother buying it and just play online.

it is if you can appreciate what's good regardless of the release date, the graphics, and stuff...

And yes if you can play with friends thats a big plus

WigglyJiggly actually seems like a nice enough guy.

My answer: even if you do only play 1p mode, CPUs, etc., it's still worth 10 bucks, even though you're not getting a hundredth of the game's true awesome.
