Smash Wii U Is the GC controller adapter region locked?

If I buy one in Europe, can use it in my american Wii U? And the controllers, is there a problem to buy one from one region and play with it in a console from another region?

Well it is just a USB port, so I'd assume it's region free. But I don't know specifics, really

You cannot play games on a console that is from a different region. The last non region-locked handheld Nintendo made was the GBA. The N64 was the last non region-locked console if you had a Dremel, a hexdriver, and about 15 minutes.

Sorry, I misread the question. Also, you are correct, the DS and DS Lite are not region locked, but I had no clue because I don't have any Japanese DS games. Anyways, I know a smasher from New Zealand and his controller works fine, so I now PAL controllers work on NTSC.

Controllers are universally compatible no matter the region with exception to one...the Wii U Gamepad. For obvious reasons. This also goes for accessories such as plugs, wires, chargers, etc.

It's highly unlikely that a device such as the GC adapter could possibly even possess the means to be region locked somehow.
