I've heard that a lot of people have had trouble downloading it and installing it. But it sounds interesting.
So here's the question: Is Project M worth the trouble you might run into to get it?

People who "run into trouble" aren't installing it right 80% of the time. It's not like it blows up the wii or has some irreversible side effect.

Certainly worth the 10 minutes it'll take to download.

It's really easy to install and all you need is a 2 gig or less SD card. It takes like 5 minutes depending on your download speed.

It's free to Download.
It's super easy to install.
It's popular (as you can tell, with it's forum being so huge)
It's easily removed if you don't like it.
It gives value back to that brawl disc that has been sitting collecting dust on your shelf for the last 6 years.

I don't understand the question...

I've just seen a lot of people saying that they've had a lot of trouble downloading, so I just want to know if it's worth the trouble they say they had to download.

Considering you are on the Project M forums, of course people here are going to say it's worth it. Just go try downloading the game and see for yourself.

You have to understand that a lot of people aren't homebrew savvy. Extracting an rar onto an SD card is really complicated.

Here's all you have to do.
1. Download the files from PM's website.
2. Unzip the folder containing the files
3. Move the folder to your SD card
That's it. After that just insert your SD card, boot up Brawl, and go to the stage builder. PM will boot up as long as you don't have any custom stages saved anywhere, and there are no other files on the SD card.

If you are smart and even the least bit computer savvy, this should be no problem for you. Its a simply download and drop to the SD card. So hard to mess this up.

I just looked at projectmgame's download site and there have been 844,202 downloads. Compare that to the number of complaining having trouble... you get the idea.

I'm still scratching my head as to whether or not I should download Project M since I moved all my saved data to my Wii U...or if it's even safe to do it. I mean, if I still had my Wii, I definitely would download it right off the bat.

HELL YES! It certainly was worth 4-5 hours of downloading for me. It is fun, fast and CPU is challenging enough for game to be interesting enough, but not too frustrating. If you are not sure, test it on emulator, then on actual console. It works.

Project M works fine on the Wii U. You just have to wait and put the SD card in until after you enter Wii mode. This also means that you should remove the SD card when you're done playing. It won't mess with your system if you don't, but it may delete some of the PM files off your card if you forget. You could always just put them back though.

I really hope you meant minutes and not hours.

If you can follow extremely simple instructions you shouldn't have any problem downloading it
and yes the game is worth a few minutes of your time to install..

Fan of Smash since 2000. Downloaded it couple of months ago. Never stopped playing PM. Worth it? Man, Project M is like fire or wheel, it's the best freaking invention of this century.

Project M is worth it, installing it shouldn't be hard. The only hard part for me was finding a small enough SD card.

OK, so you are all saying that it is worth it, but what if we had already hacked our Wii? Would it still work?
(We already have the Homebrew channel, as well as several games. Will they be affected?)

Isn't it all you need to play Project M is insert a 2GB SD card with the PM data in it with no custom stages in brawl? No homebrew required?

Also, to anwser your question, yes. PM is DEFINITLEY worth it!

Let me explain this easier than other people.

The people who have trouble don't know how computers work. It is literally one of the easiest things you will ever do in your entire life. Taking a dump is harder at times.
