Is online on games THAT important?

Here it's what happened:

While I was playing Zelda: Twilight Princess I came up with this Idea, If it were online, would have sold more copies?

And guess what I found on IGN:

"Developers who are not embracing online opportunities to a greater level are leaving money on the table," said Geoffrey Zatkin, president and COO of EEDR.
So, does online influence in your purchase? If so... did u know that only 2% of the Wii's games have online feature against the 77% on Xbox 360?

Well, considering Nintendo JUST got wifi up and running, I'd expect that number to jump to somewhere around 30-50%.

Btw, why didn't you put this in the Light House?
