Is Mid-West Big on the New Games?

Hi, I live in the Mid-West and I was wondering if the scene for the new games was big, as I want to get into the tournament level to develop my play style a little, and get better. Please let me know of any upcoming local tournaments (I live in Illinios/Indiana area). Thanks for the help.

If you look around the Midwest sub-forum (this one), you should be able to find an Illinois (probably just Chicago) thread, and an Indiana thread. I think there's multiple Illinois threads actually.

For tournament, you'd had to peruse the tournament listings sub-forum and check the title for where they are (make sure to click on Midwest when you're on it to sort them!).
