Is Luigi as bad as people say now in update 1.1.2?

Ever since the nerf everyone has been saying " Oh Luigi is trash now." Or " He's now mid tier at best." I do have my personal opinion but I want to see a bunch of responses together. So tell me, how good is Luigi now?

I'd say he's more or less the same as 1.1.1 but without the guaranteed cyclone kill and a less potent combo game. He no longer can D-throw to Cyclone to get kills and D-throw also doesn't combo as much as it used to. Personally, I don't see this as much of a problem as others. Even with less sufficient percent out of a D-throw string and no guaranteed kills, Super Jump Punch was always quite potent and quick, the occasional misfire hits like a truck, and his spike is still incredibly effective. In tandem with reliable combos, Luigi can certainly sill get work done quickly. At the same time, Cyclone usually outlasts airdodges in my experience, so you still can kill off the top if used correctly.

But I'm not really devoted to Luigi, so I'm not one with "bountiful expertise" on the subject. Still hope this gives some insight, though.

Well, I wouldn't say bad, but he's nowhere near the beast he was before. He lost a great chunk of his combo game and all of his KO confirms, and he can no longer KO reliably. Is he trash? No. Is he mid tier? Probably. I do think he's the worst of the three Marios, though. His only remaining saving grace are his damage output (which also took a hit) and his great frame data.
