Okay, look, Kongo Jungle 64 has been a singles no-go in most iterations which it has appeared, largely because of the size of the stage. I understand camping is an issue. Even so, Town and City is a legal starter stage in most SmUsh rule sets, and people use the high platforms there to slow the game down, too. The actual floor space of the stage seems to have decreased dramatically in the instance of SmUsh--whether that's by design or simply due to larger character models is unknown to me--and there are no real hazards that are any worse than the ones in Halberd.
It's my opinion the wide offstage area and low blast floor promotes exciting offstage play, the high platforms facilitate vertical KOs, the rotating platforms add an x-factor both players will have to work to overcome and utilize, and the barrel becomes a new, more exciting Randall. I, personally, think it could make for an acceptable starter stage, but if I'm being realistic, I can only consider it a counterpick due to the advantages it affords certain types of characters. What does the forum think? Should this stage be considered legal in high-level singles play?
