is it possible to buy replacement screws for a gc controller?

No idea, probably somewhere, but I actually replaced my controller's screws with a wired Xbox 360 controller's screws. They fit just the same, but they are Phillip's head instead of Triwing, making it way easier to open your controller in a pinch if you don't have a Triwing screwdriver.

Buy a broken original controller or a fake one that looks similar to the official one. I’m pretty sure those also use Philips screws that fit just fine.

Go to any tool shop with the screw and ask them for duplicates. It might not have the triwing pattern but it'll fit. They stock hundreds of sizes.

i like your username, what im thinking of doing is removing screws from a gamestop gc controller for replacements and hopefully it works.
