Is it me or is Mario's Fair easier to hit in Smash 4?

I just got the demo and I'm able to spike enemies way easier, even at level 9.

In Brawl and even Melee seeing the Spike actually work was super duper rare.

Is it me or is Mario's Fair amazing and more reliable?

I don't think. In PM I was able to land it quite often, but I do get where your coming from. I usually get at least one meteor smash per game.

It's easier to land for me compared to Brawl because it's easier to punish Air dodges. It was never difficult to land them in Melee, but it was tough to kill with it because it wasn't a real spike and it lagged too long off stage.

New Mario's spike seems to be safer offstage and it might be more than just a meteor but I have to test it on human players.

I've noticed that too. It wasn't often I meteor smashed opponents with Fair in Brawl, but here I find myself doing it way more often.

His fair is pretty good, I think. What I like is that its start-up is about the same time an air dodge lasts, so if I jump to the CPU and they predict me going for an uair, I'll just do a fair instead, and they'll land right into it. Great for punishing Villager trying to recover as well

I hope the Doc is as good as Mario is in the demo, I'm considering switching back to Doctor Mario.

I've found it easier when the opponent is offstage, to face the stage, and jump backwards off the ledge and then catch the CPU as they're coming back with a fair. It works pretty well at very early percents if you can get a back throw near the ledge. But of course this is only a demo impression with level 9 CPUs.

Probably. I noticed that I can do it a whole lot more often in this game against CPUs and local players.
