When you hit them from above with the latter half of the attack/hit box... yes it will slightly, nothing spike worthy like other characters non DAir moves, but this was the basis of the Textbook combo long ago. Compare it to Sheik's FAir from SSBM, same sorta downward/horizontal knock back. So your not crazy, but its also nothing new =)
