Captain Falcon seems to take longer to jump off the ground than the other characters do, shorthop or regular jump. I think he takes the longest amount of time before jumping out of all the characters actually.

lol,and he is soppost to be fast though.i have not tested this.
but i think there might also be a pinch of lag on the up B attack,
leaving a small chance to screw something up,kinda like the funny things that can happen when you dair a kirby that up Bs with link at the right time.

Maybe it's just because he's a heavier character. Like even though Samus is a heavy character whenever she jumps she floats, so it gives a different perception of how high she jumps.
