is it a good idea to have big house 6 be my first tournament?

I come from a really small suburb in MI and there's no locals or even people who play competitive smash in my town, I can't drive either so I'm kind of stuck. I will be able to drive by Big House 6 however. I know I'm gonna get bodied but idk if it's a good idea to dive right into a national.

Your 1st tournament can hardly get more exciting than a Big House event. Go for it

You'll have a great time at TBH6, but don't expect anything from your performance if that's your first tournament experience. Michigan has a lot of really active communities though, I would try to identify the one closest to you and get involved, even if you'd only be able to make the trip once a month or two.
