Is Fox's reflecter/shine good for edgegaurding?

It's knockback sends opponents direcrly to the side with pretty good distance. When used off-stage it seems to ruin many characters recoveries. It seems good, but people and cpu's may just be bad. Is Fox's reflecter/shine a good edgegaurd tool? Or only against characters with bad recoveries?

It's a mixed bag.

Typically it's useful mostly for characters who are bad off stage and either have telegraphed recoveries (Ryu, Ken, Sonic, Megaman) or vulnerable ones (Rosalina, Pit, DK). It's good at gimping after the character has lost their double jump, and stage spiking with it at high percents is certain death and heard to tech due to its speed. It's also a little safer than Nair as it halts your fall momentarily.

It's situational, but definitely a tool you don't want to forget about.

Can we use shine as a momentum cancel to try and survive longer? For instance when a high horizontal knockback attack hits up we can di in and as soon as we can act we can shine to prevent drifting?
