However I can say with certainty he isn't returning, sorry. He was a clone put in at the last moment because they didn't have to time to put another character in.

Doc is quite literally an alternate costume of Mario with some slight changes, so I don't think he'll be returning. I think ur gonna have to start maining regular Mario now, sorry bud.
