Is a "Project M 2" Possible?

So I've never played Project M. I do intend to at some point, just not quite sure when.

This isn't me asking for it to be made, it's just a thought that occurred to me. Especially since I'd assume everyone here is more well-versed in this topic than me XP

So, would a Project M "sequel", so to speak, mod of the new Sm4sh be possible, or likely? And would it be for both, or just for the Wii U version? What do you guys think?

The answer WASNT no. The PM team have stated that it may happen, if there is a lot of demand for it, but atm, most seem to want the original PM. It is definitely an idea they have talked about, but will only do it if the players want it.

I am very sure that most of the team is not really willing to put 5 more years into this sort of thing haha. Others have answered your topic fairly well.
