So my iPod has a virus.. I didn't believe it was possible but when I think about it it's not too farfetched.

When I plug in my iPod to update songs or charge it or whatever.. I get a virus that makes all kinds of scenery pop up, and my pc refuses to run any programs, forcing me to do a system restore.

I'm guessing one of the mp3's is the cause of it.. but I have no idea how to fix it.

any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

Did you:

1. Try to jail break your ipod?

2. Download music from a website and put it on your ipod?

If not then your computer is messed up, not your ipod.

Idk what "jailbreaking" an ipod is or entails, so I'm going to go with no on that one.

and yes I did DL music from a website, this is the first time this has happened, and i've been using the website for quite a bit.. my computer works fine now, it happens when I connect my ipod through the usb charger. and won't let me open ANY programs (including internet and anti-virus) and the only way I can fix it is by doing a system restore

Jailbreaking is hacking an iPod touch/iPhone so that you can get free apps/songs/videos/etc. Its frowned upon by Apple and if you send in a jailbroken iPod/iPhone then you're out of luck, since jailbreaking voids your warranty.

well if its not even jailbroken , i think your best bet its to just restore it. ive never heard of anything like that happening, i think u should just start over and get all your music from itunes or another trusted way, like burning cds.
