I downloaded Apple's iPhoto recently. It's really really good. You can organize your pictures, you can browse the world map to find pictures you took in specific places of the world, you can edit pictures, yadda yadda yadda.
But there's a specific option that caught my attention, and it was the main reason I downloaded the '09 version: Face detection. I can click on someone's Face and the program will find all pictures where that person appeared, which is good when you have over 5,000 photographs.
However, it caught my attention that it does not detect faces of dark-skinned people, specially if the pictures were taken during the night. Due to this, I have to manually tag them...a waste of time.
This really bugs me and this tool should be fixed ASAP. Thanks for reading.

I have the iLife suit 08 I think and I really liked iPhoto for awhile. It organized everything so beautifully with little moving icons and titles, it was pretty awesome.

And then I found out it stored all the photos in a duplicate library which took up 6 Gigs of space so I ran to the Trash can ASAP. Stupid iPhoto.

Poor Dekuu gets no attention.

Yes, iPhoto '09 is excellent. But as far as I know, it does detect black people.
I know ;_;
It didn't detect the people in mine.

I bought iLife 09 just for iPhoto. Try it :D. And wow, I should check for the duplicates o_o. It's the same as iTunes then... I like it though, because I tend to just drag mp3s out of everywhere.
