Invite feature for friends?

What are your thoughts on an invite system for friends similar to how you inv them to a game via PSN or something. For those who may not be familiar...for instance, you set up a room, then afterwards, have the ability to send out invites to friends online. They could then accept it from anywhere and join your room immediately. It would certainly beat having to bug somebody saying your room is up or whatnot, I would think anyway.

Yes, I think it would be a great idea. I have fought many opponents who were challenging and that'd I would like to reface, but on the 3DS version at least, it is impossible to communicate with the player once one exits the battle. There should be an "add player" option (or something to that effect) where we could keep them in an online database... for example, let's say you add a player named "Fighter" (for sake of simplicity). At the end of the match, you would have the option to add them from the results screen. Their name and profile would consequently be placed on a player list.

Now that Fighter is on your player list, you can view his profile and check to see if he is currently online. If so, you can send a quick challenge invite and start a room for him to join. This way, you could easily battle worthy players without having to exchange friend codes.

Hmm, haven't thought about it that way. That method would be rather handy as well.
