Hey guys, I guess this would be an introduction thread of sorts. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong subsection, but I couldn't find any other place to put it so I assume this goes here. The only Super Smash game I've played is the original Super Smash 64 game, and I'm not very good at it. Despite this fact, I've come basically addicted to the game so I decided to join the Smash community and buy a system with my very own Super Smash Bro Melee game because from all the videos I've watched and all the reviews I've heard, Super Smash Bros Melee is the best out of all the other installments in the Super Smash series. Now, I wanted to know where you can actually get started if you want to start playing? I have an old GameCube thankfully from the old days, but I don't own SSBM. The only place I've actually seen a version that can be bought is on Amazon, and these are for ridiculous prices. So if I want to start playing SSBM, where do I start? Do I have to buy one of those overpriced games that may or may not work from Amazon, or is their another way? I've heard of emulators but they seem rather confusing. I know their are tutorials but I would prefer to keep it as a last resort, only because I really want the feel of playing Smash on the GameCube with the controller and T.V screen. So, any ideas? Oh, and I would appreciate any guides that people might have to suggest to me as a starter. I know the brain dead basics from playing the N64 version, but nothing advanced. My SSBM main is Marth.
